Making the Most of Mobile

It’s an increasingly mobile world, and the number of people turning to their phones first for both their technological needs and to get the information they want increases day-by-day. So, what can you do to be ready to meet the needs of these highly connected folks?

Mobile Friendly Emails or Invitations

Being able to get your message across quickly and memorably is even more important when such a message is being viewed on a phone. Here are a few tricks to keep in mind:

  • Do not forget to use an Image Description. This is a good rule of thumb for every email you send, but it becomes even more key when the chances of an image being blocked goes up.

  • Simplicity is a virtue. Keeping your email easy to skim by using bullet points or article headings is one way to streamline your layout. Starting with a basic or card design for your template is another.

Mobile Friendly Locations

In addition to sending email campaigns that are ready for mobile viewing, you also want to offer some tools that can be used easily by those savvy users. QR Codes (or a Quick Response Code) are a great way to get them information and options that they might not otherwise see. Simply create one by shortening any URL and adding .qrcode to the end of the shortened URL. Then print off the code to display in your store, in your fliers, or at your booth.

Mobile Friendly List Growth

In addition to a QR Code, you can use mobile technology to grow your mailing list. Our Text-to-Join feature lets people do just that: They send you a text message to join your mailing list. Using our feature, you can create a special keyword for people to use, and signage that will promote this.

That’s all it takes. A little planning and you’ll be ready to have your emails, invitations, and lists hooked up to even the most phone-dependent user. Keep an eye out as well for mobile friendly templates coming your way. In the meantime, we’ve got some great additional resources to take a look at for the tips we mentioned:
